Release Blitz + Book Review for Save the Date by Carrie Aarons

Title: Save the Date
Author: Carrie Aarons
Genre: Romantic Comedy
Release Date: June 24, 2018

Blurb

You know that pact you make with your childhood best friend of the opposite sex? The one where, if you’re both still single, lonely and hopeless at thirty, you’ll marry each other?

This is the story about what happens when you hit the big three-oh and have to make good on that pinky promise.

Personally, I think love, romance and all of that nonsense is a crock of, well, you know. And Reese Collins, the boy who used to put worms in my hair at backyard barbecues, knows that better than anyone.

But when he moves to the same city I’ve happily, and singly, inhabited for years, memories of oaths past resurface. Reese is like a dog with a bone; a really hot dog and that bone just happens to be me.

He won’t stop hounding me, and the crazy thing is, my frigid, traitorous heart is starting to cave. For my best friend.

It seems so far off, when you’re a kid playing Monopoly in your treehouse. But when that clock strikes midnight on your thirtieth birthday, and you’re standing alone in front of a grocery store-bought cupcake, a childhood deal to walk down the aisle doesn’t seem so silly anymore.

I'm a Carrie Arron fan and in my eyes she can't write a wrong. Carrie has a way with capturing me in the story with her strong characters. In Save the Date, my attention is captured from the beginning. This is a funny, sexy and heartfelt friends- to- lovers romantic comedy. I did not want to put it down.

I love the premise of a childhood pact between best friends. Why not marry your best friend if you're both single at the age of thirty? What could go wrong? Ugh! Maybe life and one of the friends doesn't believe in happily ever after.

It hurts me to say this, but Erin Carter had me wanting to deduct stars on my review. She is not a character that I'm use to. I can't even explain how I truly feel about her. I think it's her hotheadedness that kept her at a distance for me. Leave it to Carrie Aarons to pull it all together and find a way to win Erin into my heart.

How can I not smile when I think of, Reese Collins, the gorgeous best friend who is ready to commit to the pact. He has the patience of a saint and the heart of an angel. I love that Reese knows what he wants and is willing to go after it.

Save the Date has that steamy chemistry I love between characters with that sexy banter that puts a smile on my face. I hope you fall in love with this story as much as I have.
It's a 5 Star Must Read!
