The first word that I can think to describe Separation Games by CD Reiss is "Raw". It is an emotional roller-coaster of a read. As soon as the ARC hit my kindle for an honest review I had moved it up on my list of "I want to read now" even though I wasn't ready for it. I like an impatient person that I am wanted to just take a sneak peek at the first page and then walk away and read it next on my list, that did not happen. I ended staying up late and flipping page after page like a mad woman, I was on a mission of need to know...NOW!
In this conclusion to Marriage Games, it was everything I expected from Diana and Adam Steinbeck. Two people pushing and pulling their emotional marriage strings til one or the other person breaks. In this story it is told from Diana's point of view, in the first book her husband Adam opens up her world to the life of a Dominate and Submissive relationship. I have to say Diana will frustrate the reader with her battle between heart and mind. How far is she willing to go to win back her husband or will she push to far and lose him forever?
Adam Steinbeck knows what he wants but finds himself pushing her away, but never to far. His reasons are questionable, heartfelt and drew me in like an addict. I loved him and hated him at the same time I wanted that happy ever after, but are his expectations to high of a price to play?
OMG!!! Separation Games just thinking about this story sends chills down my spine. The love and possessiveness between this couple is off the wall scorching hot. The games they will play to keep or push each other away is mind-blowing. CD Reiss reaches into your heart and mind and had me questioning how far is a person willing to go to save their marriage? Is losing oneself and willing to walk away with a broken heart worth that one person you can't live without? 5 emotional must read stars.
