Delve is the third book that I have read by Jacob Chance and I have to say that for a short read, it packs a punch. As soon as I started reading, I lost all track of time. I was able to lose myself in the story and finish it in one sitting. The intense sexual heat, the suspense and the characters had me oblivious to anything or anyone around me.
Delve is a stand alone but we were introduced to Derek and Kenna in Quake and Quiver. Derek is Kyle's best friend and business partner, he is also one dirty talking alpha male that most men would want to keep away from their sisters. That is the case in this story, as much as Derek can try to avoid his best friends baby sister, their is no way to avoid the magnetic sexual pull that draws these two together. He has tried to fight his feelings for Kenna since the first time he meet her when she was eighteen years old. Years later and his feelings have never changed and their love/ hate relationship only turned them on more and the sexual banter between the two becomes to much to resist.
Kenna is one feisty sexy woman, she is too good for her brother's best friend but why couldn't she resist him when he stands in front of her staring and she could tell what he wanted to do to her just by looking into his eyes. Will working overtime and trying to voiding Derek be what she needs to keep him out of her mind?
This is another good story by Jacob Chance, he does not hold back with the sexual references. I am talking off the charts heats ablazing. The suspense kept me on my toes til the end and again Chance out does himself with a ending that left me wanting more.
