The Hard Sell
Lily Brook works in men's underwear, but she would love to get Jack Stewart out of his.
Lily hasn't dated anyone worth writing home about for years. So when she meets the impossible and impossibly handsome Jack Stewart--well, you could say he piques her interest. It doesn't matter that he's the cockiest asshole this side of the Mason-Dixon line.
Jack Stewart is destined for success. With his designer suits, intense hazel eyes, and penthouse apartment, he's the total package. But he's also the manager of Hamilton's Department Store--the store where Lily could make or break her career. He would never fraternize with an employee. And there's no way in hell Lily would risk her job on the hottest guy in Philadelphia. Right?
But she can't stop imagining what he'd look like in a pair of Flash Fit's sexy male underwear...
He shouldn't dip his wick in the company's ink, but he can't resist Lily's curvaceous body and wacky charm. He wants Lily--in the break room, the dressing area, everywhere.
Making a move on Jack could end her career. But can Lily resist his Hard Sell?
I have to admit that The Hard Sell is one that I wish I would have read as soon as I added it to my kindle library. It is one of those books that if you need a good laugh and want to keep a smile on your face than this one is for you. I love a good Rom-Com but I would say this is more of a erotic comedy because it is freaking sexy, I am talking dropping drawers sexy! I am really surprised that this is a first book for Lulu Wright, if this is what she brings to the first book then I am so ready for more from her.
Lily is a merchandiser for a men's underwear line and is asked to help bring sells up for a department store where sells are inexplicably low, this could also help her get the promotion she has been waiting for. Lily is feisty, beautiful, flirty and I would have to say she is kind of a sexually charged woman. With her career on the line, Lily has set her mind on making the floor displays and sells a success. I don't think she could have predicted the distraction that is Jack Stewart.
Jack Stewart is the Manager of Hamilton's Department Store and he is a walking temptation of a man who should come with warning signs. Jack has it all, the looks, the penthouse and could have any woman that he wants. He knows he should never flirt or date his employees but will he be able to resist Lily and her choice in clothing that accentuates all her curves and makes it difficult to think?
I loved these two characters even though Jack came off as a arrogant ass at first, he proves to be worth the trouble. The sexual tension, banter and heated upset moments leads to Jack and Lily making it impossible to keep their hands off each other every time they are together. Will they be able to make this relationship work or will Jack's secret destroy it before it even begins? The Hard Sell is definitely a 5 star read from me, this sexy comedy lingered in my head longer than I expected.
