Book Review for Last Kiss ( First and Last Kiss ) by Laurelin Paige

 Last Kiss
by Laurelin Paige

A GAME OF CAT AND MOUSE FILLED WITH DARK DESIRES AND DANGEROUS
SECRETS…

Emily Wayborn has made a decision.

She might not fully trust handsome and deadly Reeve Sallis, but he is the one person that gives her what she needs. With Reeve she can finally be herself. Submitting to him is the only thing keeping her grounded as the rest of her life falls apart. But the hotelier is a master at keeping secrets and as she continues her quest for answers someone is making sure she doesn’t find them.

Time is running out and she is questioning everything she thought she knew about friendship and love. She must now make an impossible choice that will determine if she will survive with her heart…or at all.

                                    My Review

Last kiss ( First and Last Kiss) is the conclusion to First Touch, which I read last year and I can't believe that it has taken me this long to read the second book.  Which takes nothing away from the story because trust me I have had this book on the back of my mind calling to me to get to it, I had to make the choice to put every other book down and get back to Emily and Reeve's story.

In First Touch Emily Wayborn receives a call from her best friend needing help. Emily sets out to find her and ends up in the hands of Reeves Sallis. Emily is willing to do anything to find her friend. We were left with a ending in First Touch that left us grasping for air. Well, in Last Kiss  Emily finds herself questioning her friendship with Amber. Emily's feelings for Reeve seem to be pushing him away from her, Emily feels more of a frustrating mess of contradictions in this story. I was so confused and found myself wanting to slap her more than a few times. Only Laurelin Paige can create a character that you can be so frustrated with but you so want that happy ending for. With everything around Emily feeling like secrets, lies, her own insecurities and testing her restraint in needing that submissive part of her to surrender to Reeve maybe too much for her to handle. Will she be able to walk away with her heart and maybe even her life?

Reeve Sallis, he is up there with one of the most dangerous and hottest men in a story.
He is terrifying but in a way that with one look your knees could buckle and you could lose your balance and willing to put your life on the line just to have him in yours ( it's a moment of weakness). Reeve seems to do everything right in this story but too Emily, he is doing everything right but feels so wrong. He can not win when it comes to proving his love to her, how much is he willing to take of her disobedience? With having to prove his love, protect those he loves, protect his family's business and have questions of murder surrounding him, Will Reeve be able to do the right thing to keep the woman he loves?

Last Kiss had my emotions all over the place, feeling as if I could not read fast enough. It has the perfect amount of suspense with over the top dominate, passionate heat Emily and Reeve have when they are together. I am sad that this closes the chapter to Emily and Reeve but I couldn't ask more from Paige with its endng. This is not my first Laurelin Paige read, her name has become synonymous with " 1-click" for me. 5 Star must read series!!!

                                                     About the Author

7056140NY Times & USA Today Bestselling author Laurelin Paige is a sucker for a good romance and gets giddy anytime there’s kissing, much to the embarrassment of her three daughters. Her husband doesn’t seem to complain, however. When she isn’t reading or writing sexy stories, she’s probably singing, watching Game of Thrones and the Walking Dead, or dreaming of Michael Fassbender. She is represented by Rebecca Friedman and Friedman Literary.
