Book Review for Filthy English By Ilsa Madden- Mills

Filthy English ( English #2)

By Ilsa Madden- Mills

**THIS IS A STAND ALONE BOOK**

A smokin’ hot British player…
A jilted girl…
One night of mistaken identity…

Two weeks before her wedding, Remi Montague’s fiancé drops her faster than a drunken sorority girl in stilettos. Armed with her best friend and a bottle of tequila, she hops a plane to London to drown her sorrows before fall semester begins at Whitman University.

She didn't plan on attending a masquerade party.

She sure didn’t plan on waking up next to the British bad boy who broke her heart three years ago—the devastatingly handsome and naked Dax Blay. Furthermore, she has no clue how they acquired matching tattoos.

Once back at Whitman together, they endeavor to pretend they never had their night of unbridled passion in London.

But that’s damn hard to do when you live in the same house…

One night. Two damaged hearts. The passion of a lifetime.

*A modern love story inspired by Romeo and Juliet*

**no one dies in the writing of this novel**

My Review:

Once I started on Filthy English by Ilsa Madden- Mills, a second chance romance inspired by Romeo and Juliet with a modern twist to it. I found it impossible to want to put it down, I slept three hours and went back and finished the story because it had that story line so perfectly written that draws the reader and doesn't let go til I had devoured every page til the end.

Remi Montague's life and heart is shattered after her fiance tells her he " needs time" two weeks before their wedding. The honeymoon in London thats paid for is Remi's best escape to get away and drown her sorrows in a bottle of tequila and find a way to move on before her semester classes begin at Whitman University. Remi never expected to bump into the Universities british bad boy Dax Blay at a Masquerade club. Dax is also the one that broke her heart three years ago when she walked away carrying secrets and a rule to never let Dax break her heart again. What could go wrong with enjoying a few days and nights in London with the one man Remi can't seem to get her mind and body off of ?

Dax Blay, has a way with the ladies especially those around the University. He is visiting London and being there for a family member in need, before his semester classes began. One night in a club and he is drawn to a woman wearing a mask and with a bet in place, she is his target and with one kiss Dax realizes she is the one woman that could break him. With unexpected events occurring during that night, Dax feels this need to protect her.
Dax wants more than anything to be close to Remi but will being friends be more than he can handle? Dax's past with losing those he loved has scared him, is he willing to take a chance at love?

Filthy English is so much more than a modern love story, those little Romeo and Juliette inspired scenes are heartfelt. This story is of two people with broken hearts and questioning is love worth going through the pain all over again. Is it safer to take the life that is planned out for you or should you take a chance on a love that is so passionate that can be felt even when your apart? This is a Ilsa Madden-Mills 5 star must read.
