Series: Giving You... #3
Author: Leslie McAdam
Genre: Contemporary Romance

Romance novelist Lucy Figueroa lives a life of the imagination. While her stories are filled with fictional alpha male heroes, her real life is filled with nothing but Mr. Wrongs. As a sassy, strong, single mom, she doesn't need anyone... except maybe a new book idea. And to forgive herself for the mistakes of the past.

Lucy's sexy new neighbor, Jake Slausen, looks like one of her characters come to life. While he fits the heartthrob part, he doesn't act it, too distracted by his cell phone and his job for any relationship. Damaged by his childhood, he's ignored his true calling and goes through his days on autopilot...until he meets Lucy.

First drawn together by chemistry, then by a fierce need to protect each other even from themselves, will Jake and Lucy learn to accept their pasts or will they convince themselves that happily ever afters only exists in romance novels?

                                                My Review:

I hate when I wait a few days to write a review because the high you get when you come off a good book is easily lost during that time. ( Note to self : Write reviews ASAP )
In  All The Waters of the Earth you have this passionate, strong and loving story that is so true to life with the characters and their situations. I was grabbed from the beginning of the story and it was so well written that I never lost interest.

Lucy Figueroa, is a romance writer and single mother who loves and will do anything for her son. Lucy is one strong, independent, feisty, funny and sexy woman with all the right curves.  I so loved her personality and the belief she has in herself. Those qualities that she has made it easier for her to handle unexpected situations in her life. Her only problem is her past choices with men. If they could only be as perfect as the fictional men she writes in her books. Lucy never expected her life to change the moment she met her new neighbor.

Jake Slausen, this lawyer is very easy on the eyes and puts his job before everything else in his life. Jake lets his damaged childhood dictate his future and he sets himself up to avoid falling in love. Jake is stubborn, strong, work driven but when his walls slowly come down it is his soft, caring, artistic, protective and loving side that made me fall in love with him. Will Jake be able to love Lucy and her son the way she knows she deserves and will he be able to face his past so he could move on with his future?

I loved everything about this story, the connection between Jake and Lucy is hot that I thought my tablet steamed up. The heartfelt moments of  love between a mother and son felt so realistic, I loved Lucy's family it brought back moments of making tamales with my grandmother. I know I keep saying "I LOVE" it's just that I do.  Having the characters from her first two books even though I have only read the second book The Stars in the Sky felt so good because they are memorable characters and add that humor and the meaning of how important it is to have close friends.  All The Waters of the Earth is such a 5 star read and Leslie McAdam is becoming one of my must read authors.

Author Bio

Leslie McAdam is a California girl who loves romance, Little Dude, and well-defined abs. She lives in a drafty old farmhouse on a small orange tree farm in Southern California with her husband and two small children. Leslie always encourages her kids to be themselves - even if it means letting her daughter wear leopard print from head to toe. An avid reader from a young age, she will always trade watching TV for reading a book, unless it's Top Gear. Or football. Leslie is employed by day but spends her nights writing about the men you fantasize about. She's unapologetically sarcastic and notoriously terrible at comma placement (that's what editors are for!).

Always up for a laugh, Leslie tries to see humor in all things. When she's not in the writing cave you'll find her fangirling over Beck, camping with her family, or mixing up oil paints to depict her love of outdoors on canvas.
