Book Review- It all Started with a Lima Bean

It all Started with a Lima Bean (Caleb & Abby) (Intertwined Hearts Book 1)

~ Does not contain a cliffhanger, ends with a happily ever after and can be read as a stand alone ~

SYNOPSIS:

To let go, forgiveness is necessary.
Even if the one that needs it is yourself.

As a teacher in her hometown of Santa Barbara, California, Abby Sullivan finally feels like she has something to offer. She has a purpose, a wonderful best friend, and a supportive mother. Abby is very talented at many things, especially hiding the pain of her past. That is until her world collides with Caleb Hunter’s.

With an ever-present ache in his chest, Caleb is living life day to day, grieving the loss of his wife. As a successful writer, he's thankful that his schedule doesn’t require him to get out much. But when his five-year-old daughter, Madison walks into Abby’s kindergarten class at the beginning of the year, everything will change.

With a little matchmaking magic from Caleb’s loving mother-in-law, things will be set into motion, love will grow, and hearts will heal as they intertwine. But when those past pains come to light, will Abby be able to forgive? And will Caleb be able to let go?

~ As many reviewers have pointed out, this is not a Christian novel and has never been advertised as one. Besides some language and lots of flirting, this is a sweet/clean contemporary romance novel about forgiveness and finding peace through the agony of loss. There are plenty of fun and downright hilarious moments along the way ~

My Review:
I have always known there is a method to my madness. I read suspense romance, dark romance, thrillers and murder mystery, so at times I need to find a way and clear my head. I was going through my library and realized that my next reads were of dominant men or dark romance. I wanted something romantical, realistic and a beautiful love story, I read Tangled Paths a while back and I loved it and I knew that It All Started with a Lima Bean by Kimi Flores is what I needed at this time.
I automatically fell in love with Caleb Hunter, a single father and writer who has been living with a broken heart for more than a couple of years. He is not just handsome, it seems that everything that comes out of his mouth is what any woman wants to hear.
Abby Sullivan, a elementary school teacher who has a heartbreaking past of her own. Abby is not only beautiful, she has a heart of gold and is perfect for Caleb and his 5 yr old daughter. There is obstacles in the way, Caleb grieving the loss of his wife and wondering if he could move on, Abby struggling with forgiveness, and lets not forget the " MOM's " of the school.
Caleb and Abby have wonderful people around them to help open there eyes and realize that true love is right in front of them. The characters are so beautifully written and the emotions are so easily felt with ever page. I loved the way I felt reading this book, I had a smile on my face and my heart felt light. I can't wait til my heart needs to be rejuvenated so I can read An Exceptional Twist, the story of Stefen who is Caleb's playboy cousin and Leah who is Abby's spicy best friend.

If your looking for a wonderfully written love story, It all Started with a Lima Bean is for you.
